Worth a shot

“Disclaimer I did not buy this from GG I bought direct from Shot Scope. This is my first golf-specific GPS watch and, after using for a dozen rounds, I am pleased with its performance and functionality--especially for the price. My only hiccup was getting this thing connected to the phone app for the first time. But after a short search of the website FAQs and a little tinkering on my part I discovered my phone had to have bluetooth AND location turned on in order for the watch to connect to the app on my phone. I haven't had any issues connecting to the app since. BTW, the app is easy to navigate, search performance stats, and sync with Shot Scope's Dashboard however, I recommend using a PC or laptop to edit your rounds as trying to do so on a phone is more challenging due to viewable screen size. The GPS function is reliable so far and hasn't dropped signal while playing a round. It has dropped signal once when I went into the clubhouse at the turn but reconnected fast once outside the building. Distances seem to be accurate when compared to my range finder, also a Shot Scope. The distances to hazards is a nice feature and seems accurate, too. As for battery life, I find I can get two full rounds, GPS + shot tracking, on one charge. Not great, but not bad either. The watch charges relatively quick and will hold a charge when powered off for several weeks or for a couple of weeks if used solely as a watch. The sensors that come with the watch attach to the grip on each club and can be edited in the app to show which club is being used. The watch does well to recognize which club is being used for each shot, particularly if you give the club a practice swing or two before hitting your shots as recommended. This isn't the flashiest GPS watch on the market nor does it output all the analysis data points of Arccos. BUT, the stats it does collect are useful and informative and there are no subscription fees to account for. Oh, and it's budget friendly. All things considered, this product is worth a shot if you're looking to get something that gives you what you need and does it well for a fraction of the cost of some of its competitors.”
