    Description

The Mizuno ST190 drivers combines a SP700 face with an Aggressive Wave Sole to fire the ball off of the face. The ST190 contains an expanded CORAREA and improved ball speed retention for off center impacts and features a composite crown design for a large MOI while still having an extremely low sweet spot for spin rates that can fit all levels of player.

    Condition Description

Clubs in Excellent Condition have had very limited use. Among the wear that you may see on clubs in Excellent Condition: Normal ball marks minimally visible on the face; very light scratching on the sole; no abnormal crown or shaft wear.

    Technology / Specs

Mizuno ST190 drivers get a face lift with all new looks and performance features. Learn about what’s new here.

    Forged SP700 Ti Face

Mizuno uses a special titanium, called SP700 TI to construct the face of the ST190 driver. The metal is incredibly strong, allowing it to be made thinner and therefore faster than a more traditional 6-4 titanium. SP700 TI also increase what Mizuno calls the CORTECH area of the face. Basically, the sweet spot is bigger and more forgiving.

    Carbon Composite Crown

On theme with the thin face is the new Carbon Composite crown. Weighing only 12 grams, the new crown allowed designers to reposition 7 grams of excess weight around the head. The result is lower spin rate and higher ball speeds.

    Amplified Wave Technology

Mizuno’s Wave technology on the sole of the ST190 driver got a redesign too. As a reminder, Wave technology allows the sole to flex and rebound at impact, transferring energy to the golf ball for greater distance.

This version of Wave technology has a wider 1st wave, which sits directly behind the face. Adding width causes more of the face to flex a greater amount. Therefore, more of the club face gets higher ball speed diminishing the yardage penalty for mishits.

    Back Weighting

A 6-gram, fixed weight on the sole of the ST190 driver optimizes the CG location for better launch conditions. It also, according to Mizuno, adds 300gcm2 of MOI/forgiveness.

The adjustable hosel on the ST190 drivers lets you change the loft +/- 2 degrees and adjust the lie angle to optimize ball flight. The chart below shows the relationship between loft and lie angle. Each degree of loft corresponds to 0.75 degrees of lie angle.
