    Description

The Callaway PM Grind wedge, co-created by Phil Mickelson and Roger Cleveland, features micro-grooves on a 20° angle to promote added spin on chips, pitches and lobs. The increased offset and higher center of gravity from the higher toe helps players control trajectory on full and partial shots while the C-Grind sole provides generous relief at the heel and toe for crisp, clean contact from a variety of greenside lies.

    Condition Description

Clubs in Very Good Condition have been played with and cared for in an appropriate fashion. The markings that you will likely find on Very Good Condition products will show typical wear of models of its age. All of the wear is purely cosmetic, and will not in any way affect the performance of the club. Among the wear that you may see on clubs in Very Good Condition: NOTE: Some wedges are designed to rust over time. This is not considered adverse wear. Normal ball marks on the face with minimal groove wear; minor scratching on the sole and in the cavities; no significant wear on the shaft.

    PM Grind Wedges Overview

Two of golf’s greatest short game minds, Roger Cleveland and Phil Mickelson, joined forces to design the Callaway PM Grind 2019 wedges. Read about what they came up with here.

    Grooves on the Face

    Offset Groove-in-Groove Technology

Groove-in-groove technology was first introduced in the Mack Daddy 4 wedges. This feature adds additional vertical grooves to the club face, in between the traditional grooves. These added grooves increase friction with the golf ball, equaling more spin. On the PM Grind 2019 wedges, Phil wanted grooves that add spin on open-face shots. He suggested placing the grooves at a 20° angle, called Offset Groove-In-Groove technology. The lines are perpendicular to the target and promote more spin on lob shots.

    More Offset, Higher Toe

To hit better knockdown shots, Roger and Phil added more offset to the design of the PM Grind 2019 wedges. More offset makes it easier to position the ball back in your stance, the ideal spot for hitting those low-flying, high-spinning shots into the green. The familiar high toe feature of the PM Grind wedges also gets an upgrade. On the 2019 wedges, the toe is higher, increasing the hitting area, especially on flop shots from tall grass. This change was made possible by taking more weight out of the sole, moving the CG up for lower ball flight.

    C-Grind Sole

Grind on a wedge is arguably the most important aspect that effects performance. For the PM Grind 2019 wedges, Roger and Phil felt a traditional C-Grind sole was the best fit. That grind has plenty of heel and toe relief, allowing you to hit a wide variety of shots from all around the green.
