Best irons I've owned!

Review by Jordan T, 2 years ago.

“I purchased the P790's from global golf in certified pre-owned condition with DG stiff shafts. These were purchased to replace my 770's and I can truly say these are the best irons I have ever owned. I received the package, opened it up, and the irons literally still had plastic on them. That's called brand new to me! I've played 3 rounds with these clubs and have gained 8-10 yards on my irons. PW- from 122- to 130, 7i- from 162-170, and 4i- 202 to 212. While I know the 790 has a stronger loft than my 770, I didn't think I would see this much improvement in my iron yardage. They blew the 770 out of the water! I tend to lean toward the thin top line club, tradition looking club. These did not disappoint in that department. A little larger profile than the 770,but absolutely beautiful at address. I know these irons have the presentation of a blade style iron, but that's far from their feel. You do not get punished for your mishits. I had a few off center hits, and the only indication of that was the ball mark on the face. Nothing changed in the feel of them when I didn't hit them perfect. You can still pick your shot shape like you can with a blade, but you crush it like you can with a game improvement iron. By far the best set of irons I have ever hit or owned. Need more proof: Rick shields on YouTube did his top 10 irons of 2018...and these took the cake...by a mile. And yes, that is an unbiased review, and it was matched up against all the leading brands Do yourself a favor, order these irons. Even the mid to mid-high handicap can hit these. You will not be disappointed. And of course... Once again.. Global golf destroyed the competition in pricing and value. Thanks global golf! A+++ from me. ”

Great Irons

Review by Vincent S, 2 years ago.

“I have played Nike Irons for the past 15 years, When they stopped making them I spent about a year researching new clubs. Went with the TaylorMade P790's. Clubs are really hot and long.I do notice that there seems to be a big gap in the distance between a few clubs (ex:15-17yds between 7-8 irons and 8-9 iron and pw-aw.).the 4,5,6,7 have a 10yds difference,as well as the pw-9.They are a lot more forgiving than I expected considering I've never owned forged irons. They are just as forgiving as the Nike Cavity back clubs I played. Overall I am happy with these irons. They are pricey even for a used set but they are worth the money.”

Better than advertised

Review by Chris E., 3 years ago.

“Advertised as mint, actually clubheads were still in the plastic wrappers, so really brand new and 20% less. Highly recommend. ”

P790 4 A review

Review by Don, 1 year ago.

“After 14 years with mizuno cavity back I decided to look at new tech irons. The more down to higher pitch ie PW and A (gap) the more I like them. They do improve distance but I am mainly looking at accuracy and they do deliver. The higher end ie 4 iron and 5, I am having trouble adapting to the tour blade feel. All in all a great set to develop into. Global rated excellent and they were like new.”

TAYLORMADE P790 IRONS

Review by Robert G., 1 month ago.

“I bought this set and chose them from the bargin set and they were in good shape and I have already played 3 rounds with them and just love them. The grips and shafts were both in good condition and the heads were not scratched as much as i thought they would be. Over all these irons were a steel for the price”
