Excellent value

Review by Patrick Y., 3 years ago.

“Having used this for a few rounds, i can honestly say that this thing works. I don't use club selector so i can't give that feature a review. However, a player i my group has an older Leupold without slope reading and line of sight readings are identical between the two. His is the larger of the two but I like the smaller size, it will fit in a cup holder and fits in my hands comfortably. The deciding factor was the warranty.”

Bad Start

Review by Paul T., 3 years ago.

“The first one I received was DOA. Nothing would appear in the viewfinder. I was concerned because I ordered this because of Leopold's reputation for quality. Global Golf was great in arranging the return and shipped a replacement as soon as I delivered the bad unit to FedEx. The second unit is working, and I am pleased with the performance. I was glad to find out you can turn off the club selector. I'm sorry Leopold, but my opinion is the club selector is pretty useless. I just need the yardage, I know what distance I hit my clubs. The way it works is that you manually input the distances you hit your clubs, then based on the information you input, a club is suggested. My opinion is that feature is pretty useless and I was glad to see I could turn it off. Everything else is working great. I can't wait to try the fog mode. Targets are easily acquired and the slope, temperature, and elevation for the true golf range seems to be very accurate. I admit though, my main reason for purchasing was the five year warranty. Another thing I like is that the unit is very compact. It fits in the cup holder of my golf cart while inside the protective case that is included with purchase. I am sticking with 4 stars because of the DOA first unit.”

Rangefinder not always accurate

Review by John H., 1 month ago.

“The rangefinder has been inconsistent in measuring yardages for me. I have used it during 3 rounds of golf so far and I hope the accuracy will improve. This rangefinder was used so maybe the accuracy factored into why the original owner parted with it. It came with a case and quick set up card. It was missing the manual.”
