Men's TaylorMade P770

Stiff Flex, +1" Length, Standard Lie Angle

Description

The TaylorMade P770 irons combine forged 1025 carbon steel heads with precision-milled faces and grooves for a soft-solid feel at impact and performance that is both workable and forgiving. Designed for highly skilled players, the irons feature 70-gram tungsten back-bar weighting in the mid and long irons (3-7) and a one-piece forged cavity back construction in the short irons (8-AW) for added feel and control. Further enhancements include a flatter, medium cambered sole and tighter leading edge for improved turf interaction as well as a thin topline and progressive offset for a clean look at address. The higher MOI allows for ball speed consistency and more forgiveness while the lower center of gravity creates a higher launch angle than its predecessors. The P770 irons are high performance with improved playability and great sound and feel.

Features

  • Compact Players Shape - Thin topline, less offset and shorter blade length
  • Forged Hollow Body Construction - Thin, wrap around forged 4140 face, soft carbon steel body with tungsten weighting for explosive distance and forgiveness
  • SpeedFoam - Ultra-light urethane foam injected in the club head for improved face speed and feel
  • Thru Slot Speed Pocket - Maximize ball speeds with exceptional forgiveness
  • Progressive ICT - Patented "Progressive Inverted Cone Technology" strategically placed in club for improved accuracy

Loft and lie way off

Review by David K, 3 years ago.

“I received these clubs a month ago and they didn’t perform like the demo clubs did at golf galaxy, after being frustrated with bad shots at the range had the clubs checked and every club was 4 to 5 degrees off from manufacture specs the toe was upright that much and the lofts varied from club to club. I had everything put back to spec and now the 770s perform beautiful. Just make sure they are in spec when purchasing them. ”

Impressive

Review by Matthew W, 4 years ago.

“I most recently had a set of Mizuno mp-25's and I really liked those. But after doing some research I thought I would give these a try. Taylormade is not usually the place I would go for irons with feel and consistent ball flights, but these have exceeded my expectations! I love these irons. They have a simple looking top-line. I would say very similar to the mp-25's. Not a complete blade, but very little offset, and compact. And the feel is phenomenal. I would say they are even softer than the 25's but still feel like they hit with a punch. Great Clubs!”

Like butter

Review by Jimmy J, 4 years ago.

“Bought these the weekend they were released and so glad that I made the switch. They are very forgiving and soooo smooth when you catch the sweet spot. I can see myself hanging onto these for a while.”

Great feeling Irons

Review by Edmond B., 2 years ago.

“I bought these in value condition and apparently these clubs, as good as they feel, don't hold up well to usage. The grooves were good and the soles too, but they looked very beat up.”

Amazing

Review by Chris, 2 years ago.

“Just recently sold 900 jpx hot metals for something less bulky and more players look. Had hit these before at a golf store, but were too expensive top consider. Thanks to sale on Taylormade products recently, for a set and couldn't be happier. Fantastic feel, great look, all around one of the best irons I've ever had. ”

Hi. For the used P770's, is the KBS Tour FLT shaft in a stiff 110 or 120? Thx.
