Very Good Condition

Shows general wear associated with normal use over the course of a season or more but has been well cared for. Does not retain any of the "new look" but is in better than average condition. There is absolutely no sign of abuse. Cosmetic imperfections are typically visible. Examples include: scuffing, scratching, tiny paint blemishes, shallow dings/nicking, and normal shaft wear.

The Callaway Steelhead XR Irons features the next-generation Face Cup 360™ technology that has redefined ball speeds in the fairway woods. The Face Cup 360™ technology in the Steelhead XR irons not only acts like a spring on shots struck in the center or low on the face and increases ball speeds with all off-center hits across the entire club face. The hollow bore-through hosel design allowed Callaway engineers to remove useless weight from the hosel and precisely reposition the weight to maximize forgiveness in the long, mid and short irons. A higher launching, better feeling iron is achieved from the Steel-infused polyurethane layer strategically placed behind the lower portion of the club face to lower CG and absorb unwanted vibration. When you factor in the lower CG, improved feel and forgiveness, spring effect from Face Cup 360™ technology, bore-through hosel design, and the solid feel of Steel, the Callaway Steelhead XR delivers an iron that out performs in every category.

  • Revolutionary ball speed from next generation Face Cup 360™ technology
  • Hollow Bore-Thru hosel design allows weight repositioning for More Control and Distance from progressive center of gravity positioning
  • Higher Launch and Better Feel from Steel-infused polyurethane layer strategically placed behind the lower portion of the club face to lower CG and absorb unwanted vibration
  • New Construction and shape similar to Steelhead X-14 one of the most popular irons of all time
  • Signature Shape Meets Breakthrough Performance

A legend reborn

Review by Michael H., 4 years ago.

“Anyone who played in the 90s, likely has fond memories of the x series irons. This iron is a nice homage to those clubs. The feel/sound off these clubs is a bit loud/clicky, which is taking some getting used to. But the performance is there, though I don't really see much distance gains over my current Callaway irons (Diablo forged). Ball flight is medium-high, and irons afford decent stopping power, despite the lower spin rates. Well done Callaway!”

Great clubs as advertised!!

Review by Jon M., 3 years ago.

“Everything was as advertised. Clubs were in excellent shape for being a used set. Do yourself a favor and go get **** first. These clubs were perfect fit for my game. These clubs will not fix your swing but will provide forgiveness and distance that most us hacks are looking for in an iron ”

Big upgrade from old irons

Review by Ernest, 4 years ago.

“I am consistently hitting these about 15yds longer than my 8 year old irons. I haven't noticed much difference in lateral forgiveness but I've always been a fairly good ball striker. There is definitely a difference when I catch one thin. The ball still manages to get up in the air. ”

Good clubs in Good shape.

Review by Gregory, 1 month ago.

“Paid about half price for a used set. Was not overwhelmed, as they’re not perfect, but in very good shape. Grips are actually in great shape. Heads looked no more used than a season, and were spotlessly clean upon delivery. Overall, definitely a bargain and would definitely recommend going used from this site for the casual golfer who needs a decent set to look the part for outings. ”

Does "new condition " mean new or really great used? Is price negotiable?

New is new, still in the box. Prices for new products are set by the manufacturer.
