Features & Specs

Men's Right-Hand Callaway XR

Standard Composition, Stiff Flex, Standard Length, Black/None Standard Lie Angle

Description

The XR Irons are built for speed! They have taken the Cup 360 that’s redefined ball speed on the fairway woods and brought it to these irons. The Face Cup not only acts like a spring on shots hit low on the face, it increases ball speeds everywhere on the face too. The distance is incredible, and that’s just the start. When you factor in the lower CG, forgiveness, the face flex of the Internal Standing Wave, and precise 2-piece, deal heat construction, you can see why Callaway wants to get these irons in your hands right away.

Features

  • Revolutionary Ball Speed From Cup 360
  • Lower CG, More MOI and Ball Speed
  • New Construction and Shape

Reviews

Yes they do work best for some.

Review by Dave Gourlay, 7 years ago.

“A previous review stated " these clubs put the ball all over the place " ,,, okay then, I've been golfing for over fifty years and have never once come across any golf clubs that actually " put the ball all over the place ". I'm a senior golfer averaging 50 - 60 rounds per season, I have a steady 8 handicap. I tested the XR irons against five other brands, they came out on top across the board. I will have them in my bag ( along with the XR 3 and 5 woods and a couple of XR hybrids ). They are an exceptional club, great feel and plenty of distance and a premium shaft. I've always been of the opinion that it's the golfer that puts the ball all over the place ,,, not the club ! ”

4-PW,AW

Review by William S., 8 years ago.

“I received the order quickly, upon opening the box, I noticed that an AW was ship instead of the SW that I ordered. I called Global Golf customer service and they immediately acknowledged the issue and sent me out a sand wedge from the manufacturer. I am very pleased with your service”

Great Great Irons!

Review by Douglas S., 6 years ago.

“I purchased these irons after searching for a long time and reading reviews all over the internet. I mean to tell you that they are the longest, smoothest, easiest to hit and best looking X series iron that I have ever hit. The X series has always touted to being the longest and most forgiving iron Callaway has ever made and these are not a disappointment at all! ”

Perfect

Review by David T., 6 years ago.

“Arrived in great condition, just had scratches on them and general wear. The grips were a little worn as well but I can't complain for the price I got them at. Well worth it even for used clubs.”

Callaway XR irons

Review by Bill, 7 years ago.

“Originally ordered AP1 716 irons which arrived quickly but did not meet my needs. The return of these irons was effortless and I replaced them with an order for XR Irons. Both transactions were easy to process, I am extremely happy with the XR Irons and find them to be 10+ yards longer then my previous clubs and I am hitting them straight and consistent.”

Unfortunately, there is not a way for us to know how many rounds the clubs have been played with. Please refer to the condition rating to estimate the amount of use. Please follow the link below for more information regarding condition ratings. https://www.3balls.com/help/merchandisepricing/grade-guide/

What condition are the grips on these clubs?

Unfortunately, we do not catalogue what grips are on our used clubs or the condition. All grips will come in playable condition and not in need of immediate replacement. If the grips were too worn when we received the set, we would have replaced them prior to listing the item.

The shaft model is listed under "shaft material" on the page after you select the dexterity and type of configuration. The most common graphite shaft in this iron was the Project X SD graphite.
