Very Good Condition

Shows general wear associated with normal use over the course of a season or more but has been well cared for. Does not retain any of the "new look" but is in better than average condition. There is absolutely no sign of abuse. Cosmetic imperfections are typically visible. Examples include: scuffing, scratching, tiny paint blemishes, shallow dings/nicking, and normal shaft wear.

Description

The TaylorMade RSi 1 iron set features Face Slot Technology (3-8 irons). This technology takes the Speed Pocket Technology to the next level. With face slots located near the toe and heel of the club it allows for uniform flex of the face. It also has improved Speed Pocket Technology (3-7 irons). The result is more consistent distance on off-center hits and increased launch angle and ball speed on all shots.

Features

  • NEW Face Slot Technology in the 3-8 iron:
    • Two slots located near the heel & toe of the clubface that provide uniform flexion across the face
    • Protecting ball speed and generating more consistent distance on off-center hits
  • Improved Speed Pocket with ThruSlot Technology in the 3-7 iron:
    • Provides ball speed protection on shots below the center of the face
    • Increases launch angle and ball speed on all shots
  • Advanced Face Design—our thinnest face, deep undercut and Inverted Cone Technology combined—promote maximum face speed
  • Improved sound and feel through advanced construction & multiple dampening systems

Very Pleased

Review by CaptainHacker, 5 years ago.

“Two years ago while looking at irons, I decided that my Nike Slingshot SS4d set was still pretty good, so I didn't buy any new. THIS year I bought these RSI1 clubs. These of course arent TaylorMade's latest offering, with the PSI and the M series. But those irons keep alot of the technology from the RSI1. For the average player these clubs will improve your game. Mis hits do indeed go straighter. And solid hits feel good, sound like a nut cracking, and they travel very well. I have noticed I have a higher trajectory with these clubs, as well as more distance, and I am often backing the ball up on the greens. You may not be able to shape shots with these clubs- but that's beyond my skill anyway. I have hit over 30 rounds with these clubs, (without damage) and I am completely satisfied with their performance. Get these while you still can. (May I recommend head covers for your irons!)ALSO- on the downside- these clubs cannot have the lie adjusted at fitting- the brittle hosel prevents that, so I'm told. TM won't guarantee the club or bend it for you. Luckily at average height and arm length- these suit me fine.”

Very nice irons, but pay attention to lofts

Review by nick w, 6 years ago.

“Got these irons in Very Good condition and I am very happy with them. They hit much longer than my previous irons and have a very forgiving sweet spot, even if your a little off, the distance will not alter much as compared to some other irons ive used. These irons are tricky for me because of the lofts on each club, my previous irons all had higher lofts, the RSI 1's all have lower lofts PW - 44 degrees Aux Wedge - 50 degrees so essentially i am hitting my new PW about as far as i hit my 8 iron on my last set of clubs. All in all, solid clubs, solid feel, great grips, very nice sweet spot, nice look, very happy”

Better than expected

Review by Bob, 5 years ago.

“I recently purchased a used value set of rsi 1 irons (5 - AW). The condition of the irons were in my opinion very good. The 9 iron and pitching wedge were the only irons to have any marks. The marks were minor scratches to the bottom of the club head and face. My first trip to the range was just "fun". The ball seems to jump off the ground with better than average distance. Ball flight is straight even with a toe miss hit. Very pleased with the play and feel and condition of the rsi 1 irons. Thank you. ”

The warranty page only mentions "Often a preowned or closeout golf club may be eligible for warranty coverage." It did not say that all preowned clubs are eligible for warranty. That's why I asked whether this particular preowned iron set is eligible for warranty / not. Can you verify?

All of our products will have a 1-year warranty. The verbiage that states, "often a pre-owned or closeout club may be eligible for warranty coverage" is there because most people do not realize a pre-owned product still has a warranty. It is stated that way to make sure customers know all products are covered, even pre-owned products are covered under a 1-year warranty.

i see a budget RSI 1 iron set, budget, listed with a "precision rifle project x 6.0". It's my understanding that there are "RIfle shafts" (higher launch, single weight) and "project X" (lower launch, descending weigh ) shafts. can you tell me which one it is?

We no longer see that iron set listed with that shaft option so it may have been purchased, but a Rifle Project X 6.0 is a low launch trajectory shaft with a 6.0 being stiff shaft.

Unfortunately, we do not have the ability to take pictures of each item that is available for purchase. We ship from multiple locations and could have more than one of the same exact item. Our shipping department will simply pick the one that is on top and process the shipment.
