Mizuno MP-54 Irons is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 30.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from The step to the next level After my first time out on the course with the MP-54s, I knew these were the clubs that would take me to the next level. They are everything Mizuno says they are, and more. A while back, I switched from my MX-23s to the JPX 825s. As a result, I reduced my handicap from a 14 to a nine. Lately, I've been shooting in the low 80s. With the MP-54s, I believe I'll be able to shoot even lower. I don't get quite as much forgiveness with the 54s that I did with the 825s, but my level of play has improved to the point where I feel I no longer need as much. I can't recommend these clubs high enough. If you feel you're ready to move to the next level, try the Mp-54s.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great fit for my game I bought my MP-54 irons with XP-115 shafts after hitting them at a Mizuno Demo Days at our club. I have an 8 handicap and wanted an iron that looked great standing over them with a thin top line. On center hits need to feel like a hot knife cutting through butter. This is the club. Looks great, feels great and provides consistent distance. The simple fitting process seems to work as far as choosing the best shaft. Now, after two months of playing golf, four days a week, they have helped me reduce my handicap index from 7.7 to 6.8 with the prospect of dropping to a 6 handicap soon. Haven't had this much fun playing golf in years and my buds drool over the irons.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Higher Handicap Player Have about 2 months of playing time with my MP-54's. I have lowered my handicap this year from 27-30 to currently a 17.4, mostly through consistent practice (was a 19 at time of purchase). I wanted to move away from G10's I was gaming and tested a LOT of clubs during the process, selection came down to i25 and MP-54. I'm pleased with the clubs, I don't have any problem hitting the 5 iron (have 3/4 hybrid), and really love the shorter irons. I'd been playing my irons quite well up to this purchase, so if you're a good iron player with a higher handicap these shouldn't be too much of a stretch for you...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best looking irons out there! I bought these iron after months of shopping around. I had been gaming Adams CB2 with Nippon Super Peening Blue shafts for five years. I thought it was time to try another forged iron and without a budget for Miura irons, I went with the next best brand. I got a hole in one on my first round out with (5 iron) them. It was'nt my best round but it was my first Ace! I have been playing them for a month and a half now and absolutely love the 6-P. They are very workable left or right and knock downs are a breeze. I am still working with the 3-5. The feel is as sweet as the look and I am a fan for life!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Changed my game!!! I was custome fitted two months ago and since then I have see my handicap drop from 12 to 9. There is no doubt that my new MP54's have played a huge part in this. The strike from these irons is the purest I have ever felt. The adjustments made when I was custom fitted have given me the confidence to go for more grees regardless of how far back I am or what dangers lie around the green. I have taken the FST KBS C-TAPER shaft option and I have not looked back. I have always been a fan of Mizuno for the way they look and fell. I love the classic style and superior feel.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No Hesitation I have been fitted for clubs twice before and each time I thought they were the right clubs for me. When I was recently fitted, I narrowed my choices to three clubs: Mizuno, Titleist and Taylor Made. What sold me was the soft feel, forgiveness and confidence to hit the long iron. It is the last characteristic that stood out. I cannot tell you how much I like hitting my MP-54 4 and 5 irons. There is absolutely no hesitation to pull these out and give it a whack. These are by far the best irons I have ever owned.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best iron I've ever played Just bought to replace my 825 pro irons which I really loved and they are worth every penny. A little less forgiving than the 825's but  easier to work the ball and they have pin point accuracy.. Looks incredible at address, buttery feel like all mizuno irons when you pure it. The distance was about the same with both irons, mis hits were definitely better with 825 pro but if your a shot maker you will love them. I'm not sure I would recommend to a 12 handicap but certainly to a player in that 2 to 8 range.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Clubs!!! I've had my clubs for about a week. I upgraded from JPX 800 hd. I lost about 5-10 yards from the upgrade but the accuracy and feel of these clubs make it well worth it. I've only played 2 rounds with these clubs but I can work the ball like never before. I feel like I can make the ball do whatever I want. I also get a lot of compliments on how nice these clubs look. Don't be afraid to upgrade to the MP line. These clubs are forgiving, not as much as JPX, but enough that your missed shots won't kill you
